This is my response to an article I read from a gentlemen who is a professed believer in Jesus Christ and a supposed preacher and teacher of God's word. The purpose in my writing this article is not with malice but rather to test the alarming points that are made in this article with that great revealer of truth and barometer of men’s heart's, God's Holy Word, rightly divided. And to warn other believers but in particular, the people I have been entrusted with as a pastor. I am saddened and frankly a bit frightened by the direction of many ministers and believers theology today and the title of this article is what incited me to write this rebuttal to such a dangerous and preposterous teaching.
In the opening statement in Mr. Davis' article below he concludes that the direction of our destiny and procuring of a prosperous future is contingent upon the direction and focus of our mindset or our thought life. To this I agree, for the scripture declares in Pro 23:7 for as (a man) thinks in his heart, so is he....
The scriptures go on to say that in order for us to even have a future we must do what the bible calls repent Luk 13:3 But if you don't turn to God and repent, change the way you think and act, then you, too, will all die.
. The word repent or repentance used in the New Testament is the Greek word μετανοέω metanoeō which means to re-think or reconsider. Literally to change one's way of thinking. So I agree with Mr. Davis that our mindset determines our future and it's quality. But....! What type of thinking as believers do we need to have. When we repent, or change our way of thinking, how are we supposed think. How are we not supposed to think? Much has been said in the past 25 years or so on this subject by many preachers, theologians and the like. Especially in the word faith realm of which I was brought up in. I respect many of these men and women and believe that they had a revelation concerning this subject but have been somewhat shortsighted in some areas.

The first step to biblical thinking is the realization that you are a sinner who is in desperate need of a savior. Understanding you are hopeless in this life and in the one to come without Jesus. (1 Cor. 15:19). Shame and sorrow should be involved in the way you see yourself outside of Christ. All that awaits mankind outside of the person and work of Jesus Christ is wrath and damnation! Not debilitating shame or sorrow, but rather the kind that compels you towards a Holy God and to be cleansed from all un-righteousness (2 Cor. 7:10). This is the very first step in biblical thinking. Correct anthropology must be peered at through the lens of sound theology. You can go nowhere (with Jesus) without going through this step. Knowing who, what, where and why you are is half the battle.

Secondly to understand that faith in Jesus Christ is the only means whereby men are to be saved. We are saved by Grace through faith alone (Eph 2). This is accomplished by the Holy Spirit who gives the sinner the faith to see and the Grace to respond. He (the Father) imputes Christ’s righteousness (merit, worthiness, etc.) to us making us able to stand before a Holy God GUILTLESS and BLAMELESS! He, by His own power, translates the regenerated person out of darkness (the state of sin) into His marvelous light (Col. 1:13, 1 Peter 2:9)forever justifying them (or Sola fide) on the sole basis of Christ's righteousness . Then and only then do we understand that we are now new creature’s in Christ Jesus and that old things (habits, way of thinking, actions, guilt, etc.) have passed away and all things have become brand new (2 Cor. 5:17, John 14:6). Including your perspective’s. You are now a child of the Most High God. The bible encourages us, rather commands us, to think this way.

Thirdly He calls us to have a humble attitude or way of thinking. Php 2:5 Have the same attitude (way of thinking) that Christ Jesus had.
Php 2:6 Although he was in the form of God and equal with God, he did not take advantage of this equality.
Php 2:7 Instead, he emptied himself by taking on the form of a servant, by becoming like other humans, by having a human appearance.
Php 2:8 He humbled himself by becoming obedient to the point of death, death on a cross.
Jesus thought of others before himself. He did have a self interest though, and that was the the joy that was set before (Hebrews 12:2). His joy was fulfilled in pleasing his father by being the necessary sacrifice for the salvation of mankind which was His fathers will. Our deepest joy should be in pleasing the father. How do we please the father? Heb 11:6 And without faith it is impossible to please him, for whoever would draw near to God must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who seek him
When we please Him, we will find our truest pleasure and delight, Psa 37:4 Delight yourself in the LORD, and he will give you the desires of your heart. When we delight ourselves in Him, He becomes the desire of our heart. Remember, it's in His presence that there is fullness of joy (Psalm 16:11). True humility comes when you surrender not to a code of ethics or morality, but rather to the commandments of Jesus and the teaching and doctrine of the Apostles (John 14:15, Acts 2:42). Obedience to Christ alone is true humility and the only way to please God and find true joy and happiness. NOTHING ELSE!

One of the key points Mr. Davis makes is that we are to look to ourselves for inspiration. That everything we need to be successful is already inside of us waiting to be extracted. The problem that I have with this statement is that 1.) It is secular humanism which is false doctrine. 2.) The bible says that we are to look unto Christ for our inspiration, hope, and future Heb 12:2 looking to Jesus, the founder and perfecter of our faith..., Col 1:27 ...which is Christ in you, the hope of glory. 2Co 4:18 as we look not to the things that are seen but to the things that are unseen. For the things that are seen are transient, but the things that are unseen are eternal.

The final item I want to touch on before I Get to Mr. Davis' steps and instructions is the title statement; How to think like a billionaire & live your dreams. Ladies and gentlemen, brothers and sisters, this statement is nothing short of poisonous and venomous. It is a snare by the enemy of your soul to dressed in false hope to snare you and bring you into bondage. While God is concerned with our present life and desires to bless us in it (Matthew 6), God is more concerned with the next life then the present one. Let's look at the words of our precious savior in Matthew 16 when he says; Mat 16:24 Then Jesus told his disciples, "If anyone would come after me, let him deny himself and take up his cross and follow me.
Mat 16:25 For whoever would save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for my sake will find it.
Mat 16:26 For what will it profit a man if he gains the whole world and forfeits his soul? Or what shall a man give in return for his soul?
You will find nowhere in the bible where the Lord encourages us to live with riches and the things of this present life on our minds, nor be the focus of our goals. Riches in this life as far as the believer is concerned is for the soul purpose of the propagation of the Gospel! Paul tells us what our goal should be; Php 3:13 Brothers and sisters, I can't consider myself a winner yet. This is what I do: I don't look back, I lengthen my stride, and
Php 3:14 I run straight toward the goal to win the prize that God's heavenly call offers in Christ Jesus.
Php 3:15 Whoever has a mature faith should think this way. And if you think differently, God will show you how to think.
The context of these scriptures is where the Apostle Paul was literally giving his resume' and showcasing all of his knowledge and accomplishments to the Philippian church and then ripping it to shreds right before their eyes! He takes it a step further when in verse 9 of this same chapter he says that all of his worldly knowledge and accomplishments were worthless. Literally waste, dung, refuse! This doesn't sound like billionaire thinking to me. And yet again Paul goes on to say in another one of his letters how we are to think; Rom 12:2 Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that by testing you may discern what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect. Rom 12:3 For by the grace given to me I say to everyone among you not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think, but to think with sober judgment, each according to the measure of faith that God has assigned.
Mr. Davis concludes that we are to make the best of this life now by achieving all our dreams, and becoming everything we could ever want to be. But the scripture tells us how we are to view this present life; Tit 2:11 For the grace of God that brings salvation has appeared to all men, Tit 2:12 teaching us that having denied ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live (remember, the way we think determines the way we live pro. 23:7) discreetly, righteously and godly, in this present world, Tit 2:13 looking for the blessed hope, and the appearance of the glory of our great God and Savior Jesus Christ,
v.12 tells us how to think and live in this present life and then v. 13 tells to look to Jesus and for His appearing, which is the next life. Remember beloved, this life is temporary and short to say the least Jas 4:14 yet you do not know what tomorrow will bring. What is your life? For you are a mist that appears for a little time and then vanishes. Beloved, the best investment you can make in you is to invest in your eternity (Mat 6:19 "Do not lay up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust destroy and where thieves break in and steal,
Mat 6:20 but lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust destroys and where thieves do not break in and steal.)
In the words of that late great prophet Leonard Ravenhill we must, "live this life with eternity stamped on our eyelids"
Php 4:8 Finally, brothers and sisters, keep your thoughts on whatever is right or deserves praise: things that are true, honorable, fair, pure, acceptable, or commendable think on these things.

Step 1 A heart for breakthrough and personal financial freedom.

Mr Davis’ Statement: Your heart alone can lead you to and birth within you a compelling purpose worth living for!
Brian’s Rebutal: 1st the bible says concerning the heart of man; Jer 17:9 The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked; who can know it? It goes on to say that God is the only one who can know and search it Jer 17:10 "I the LORD search the heart and test the mind.. You CANNOT trust your heart . It will lead you astray. What do we do then? Well, Jesus came and fulfilled the prophecy in Ezekiel; Eze 11:17 Therefore say, 'Thus says the Lord GOD: I will gather you from the peoples and assemble you out of the countries where you have been scattered, and I will give you the land of Israel.'
Eze 11:18 And when they come there, they will remove from it all its detestable things and all its abominations.
Eze 11:19 And I will give them one heart, and a new spirit I will put within them. I will remove the heart of stone from their flesh and give them a heart of flesh,
Eze 11:20 that they may walk in my statutes and keep my rules and obey them. And they shall be my people, and I will be their God.
Eze 11:21 But as for those whose heart goes after their detestable things and their abominations, I will bring their deeds upon their own heads, declares the Lord GOD."
When you accept Jesus as your Lord and savior, He gives you a new heart. He takes the heart of stone which is rigid and stubborn and un-pliable and replaces it with a new heart of flesh which means that it is now moldable and pliable and sensitive to the leading of the Holy Spirit. Because of this miracle that the new testament call’s regeneration, God can now mold you and form you into the image of His son, which is your purpose and ultimate destiny, (Roman 8:29) and lead and guide you by His Spirit, whom, by the way, never deviates from the word (Joh 16:13 When the Spirit of truth comes, he will guide you into all the truth, for he will not speak on his own authority, but whatever he hears he will speak, and he will declare to you the things that are to come. Joh 16:14 He will glorify me, for he will take what is mine and declare it to you.) Stick to the word, the Spirit of God will reveal it to those who are truly born again. To those who are not they will not nor cannot know the scriptures for they are spiritual discerned (1 Cor. 2:14-15). It (God's word illuminated by the Holy Spirit) will reveal to you the motive of your heart and the hearts of others; Heb 4:12 For the word of God is living and active, sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing to the division of soul and of spirit, of joints and of marrow, and discerning the thoughts and intentions of the heart. Trust the word! Not your feelings, not your gut, the Word. The leading of God's Spirit will always lead you to the His word and sound doctrine.

As for freedom, Jesus said that true freedom comes when you experientially know the truth; Joh 8:31 Then Jesus said to the Jews who believed on Him, If you continue in My Word, you are My disciples indeed. Joh 8:32 And you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free. True Freedom is not based on limitless un-restrained potential but rather in the divinely prescribed limits of God's word. In the words of my dear friend and Apostle of the Lord Robert Kennedy, "the greater the discipline, the greater the freedom. Jesus is truth, God's word is truth. Jesus is God's word incarnate (John 1). Joh 17:17 Sanctify them through Your truth. Your Word is truth. The limits have been set for humanity in the scriptures. Know His limits and you will know no limits!

Step 2 A passion to achieve your personal dreams.

Mr. Davis’ Statement: Pinpoint your passion, transcend your limitations, silence your excuses, forget the past, and forge ahead with unstoppable determination into your future today!
Brian’s Rebuttal : A.) Pinpoint your passions and crucify them; (Gal 5:24 And those who belong to Christ Jesus have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires.)
B.) Find your limitations that God has designed for your success in His word and you will know no limits (2Co 10:13 But we will not boast beyond limits, but will boast only with regard to the area of influence God assigned to us, to reach even to you. 1Co 7:35 I say this for your own benefit, not to lay any restraint upon you, but to promote good order and to secure your undivided devotion to the Lord. Mat 11:29 Take My yoke on you and learn of Me, for I am meek and lowly in heart, and you shall find rest to your souls. Mat 5:5 "Blessed are the meek, for they shall inherit the earth. The word meek in the Greek literally means restrained strength. Limits and restraints are good and productive and will help in your God designed success.(Psa 92:12 The righteous shall flourish like the palm tree; he shall grow like a cedar in Lebanon. Psa 92:13 Those that are planted in the house of Jehovah shall flourish in the courts of our God) The word flourish used here in this psalm is the hebrew word פּרח paw-rakh' which means to break forth or breakthrough. Literally to fly as extending the wings. Unless you are planted and fixed in the foundation of God's will, which is Jesus, which is His word, you will never experience the truest essence of liberty and freedom.
C.) Silence your enemy and foolish people around you (your circle of influence)(1Pe 2:15 For this is the will of God, that by doing good you should put to silence the ignorance of foolish people. Gal 2:4 Yet because of false brothers secretly brought in--who slipped in to spy out our freedom that we have in Christ Jesus, so that they might bring us into slavery Gal 2:5 to them we did not yield in submission even for a moment, so that the truth of the gospel might be preserved for you. Eph 4:27 neither give place or opportunity to the Devil.)
D.) and silence your excuse to come wholly to Jesus and live a Godly life! (Luk 14:16 But he said to him, "A man once gave a great banquet and invited many. Luk 14:17 And at the time for the banquet he sent his servant to say to those who had been invited, 'Come, for everything is now ready.' Luk 14:18 But they all alike began to make excuses. The first said to him, 'I have bought a field, and I must go out and see it. Please have me excused.' Luk 14:19 And another said, 'I have bought five yoke of oxen, and I go to examine them. Please have me excused.' Luk 14:20 And another said, 'I have married a wife, and therefore I cannot come.' Joh 15:22 If I had not come and spoken to them, they would not have been guilty of sin, but now they have no excuse for their sin. Rom 1:19 What can be known about God is clear to them because he has made it clear to them. Rom 1:20 From the creation of the world, God's invisible qualities, his eternal power and divine nature, have been clearly observed in what he made. As a result, people have no excuse.

E.) Remember the past, but don't dwell in it! Live in the moment not for it! (Deu 4:9 "Only take care, and keep your soul diligently, lest you forget the things that your eyes have seen, and lest they depart from your heart all the days of your life. Make them known to your children and your children's children. Exo 13:3 And Moses said to the people, Remember this day in which you came out of Egypt, out of the house of bondage. For Jehovah brought you out from this place by the strength of His hand. Rev 2:5 Remember therefore from where you have fallen; repent, and do the works you did at first. If not, I will come to you and remove your lampstand from its place, unless you repent. Rev 3:3 Remember then how you have received and heard, and hold fast, and repent. Therefore if you will not watch, I will come upon you as a thief, and you will not know what hour I will come upon you.) Your past should always be a sobering reminder to never go back. (Luk 17:32 Remember Lot's wife.)

F.) Forge ahead with unstoppable determination into your future, (psst...which is Jesus, not mammon)! (Luk 16:13 No servant can serve two masters, for either he will hate the one and love the other, or he will be devoted to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve God and money."Php 3:13 Brothers and sisters, I can't consider myself a winner yet. This is what I do: I don't look (go) back, I lengthen my stride, and Php 3:14 I run straight toward the goal to win the prize that God's heavenly call offers in Christ Jesus. Heb 12:1 Since we are surrounded by so many examples of faith, we must get rid of everything that slows us down, especially sin that distracts us. We must run the race that lies ahead of us and never give up. Heb 12:2 We must focus on Jesus, the source and goal of our faith. He saw the joy ahead of him, so he endured death on the cross and ignored the disgrace it brought him. Then he received the highest position in heaven, the one next to the throne of God) God has already designed your future and Jesus is the prototype as well as the foreman and master builder. (Rom 8:29 For those whom he foreknew he also predestined to be conformed to the image of his Son, in order that he might be the firstborn among many brothers. Col 1:18 And he is the head of the body, the church. He is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead, that in everything he might be preeminent. Rev 1:5 and from Jesus Christ the faithful witness, the firstborn of the dead, and the ruler of kings on earth. To him who loves us and has freed us from our sins by his blood Jer 29:11 I know the plans that I have for you, declares the LORD. They are plans for peace and not disaster, plans to give you a future filled with hope. Joh 14:1 "Don't be troubled. Believe in God, and believe in me. Joh 14:2 My Father's house has many rooms. If that were not true, would I have told you that. I'm going to prepare a place for you. Joh 14:3 If I go to prepare a place for you, I will come again. Then I will bring you into my presence so that you will be where I am.)

Step 3 A willingness to press through naysayer’s negativity and stinking thinking.

Mr. Davis’ Statement 1: Isn't it time to get through what you have been going through? Stop nursing, rehearsing, and cursing it! It is time to boldly confront and reverse it!

Brian’s Rebuttal: Maybe what your going through is necessary for your spiritual development. Could it be that the only wise God may be using difficulty and trials to create in us His desired result. Could it be that he is developing the type of character and infrastructure that will keep us in this life and sustain us in the next. Maybe, just maybe, suffering is a part of the process of salvation that we are experiencing. Maybe the suffering of the believer is His will (Jas 1:2 Count it all joy, my brothers, when you meet trials of various kinds, Jas 1:3 for you know that the testing of your faith produces steadfastness. Jas 1:4 And let steadfastness have its full effect, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking in nothing. Difficulty is the process in which God uses to temper our faith in order to bring us to maturity and perfect us so we will be fully equipped to fulfill His divinley designed plan for our lives. Heb 5:8 though being a Son (speaking of Jesus), yet He learned obedience by the things which He suffered. 1Pe 4:1 Since therefore Christ suffered in the flesh, arm yourselves with the same way of thinking, for whoever has suffered in the flesh has ceased from sin, 1Pe 4:2 so as to live for the rest of the time in the flesh no longer for human passions but for the will of God. Jesus had the mindset of suffering and so should we. 2Ti 2:3 Therefore endure hardness, as a good soldier of Jesus Christ. 2Ti 4:5 But you must keep a clear head in everything. Endure suffering... Php 3:10 that I may know Him and the power of His resurrection and the fellowship of His sufferings, being made conformable to His death;) On the other hand, maybe what you are going through is because you are reaping what you have sown? (Gal 6:7 Do not be deceived: God is not mocked, for whatever one sows, that will he also reap. 1Pe 4:15 But let none of you suffer as a murderer or a thief or an evildoer or as a meddler. 1Pe 3:17 For it is better to suffer for doing good, if that should be God's will, than for doing evil.) Sometimes we have to face the cold hard facts of the seeds we have sown. But if you belong to Jesus I have good news. You can repent of those things and God will have mercy on you as He wills. Repentance is actually a privilege of the believer as a direct result of God’s Grace and kindness (Rom. 2:4). Pray! Fast! Study, rightly divide and speak god's word! For I believe the following; (Rom 8:28 We know that all things work together for the good of those who love God-those whom he has called according to his plan). Suffering, difficulty, even persecution is a part of God's plan for the christian life but... (Rom 8:18 For I consider that the sufferings of this present time are not worth comparing with the glory that is to be revealed to us. and Mat 24:13 But the one who endures to the end will be saved.) Let us remember that Jesus tells us the criteria for being His disciple, hat criteria is a cross (Mat. 16:24)!

Statement 2: Light a candle rather than continually cursing your darkness. Let illumination, revelation, and your imagination awaken the visionary within you to lead you forth into your future!
Rebuttal: A.) The only light that can pierce through your darkness is the glorious light of Christ Himself. (Joh 8:12 Again Jesus spoke to them, saying, "I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will not walk in darkness, but will have the light of life." Joh 1:4 In him was life, and the life was the light of men. Joh 12:46 I have come into the world as light, so that whoever believes in me may not remain in darkness. Joh 1:4 In him was life, and the life was the light of men. Joh 9:5 As long as I am in the world, I am the light of the world.")
B.) Jesus is the full revelation and illumination of God's will and wisdom. There is no other revelation outside of Jesus Christ. (Mat 16:15 He said to them, "But who do you say that I am?" Mat 16:16 Simon Peter replied, "You are the Christ, the Son of the living God." Mat 16:17 And Jesus answered him, "Blessed are you, Simon Bar-Jonah! For flesh and blood has not revealed this to you, but my Father who is in heaven. Mat 16:18 And I tell you, you are Peter, and on this rock (the revelation of Jesus of Nazareth as the messiah) I will build my church, and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it) Concerning our imagination, the bible says (2Co 10:5 pulling down imaginations and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought into the obedience of Christ; Rom 1:21 Because, knowing God, they did not glorify Him as God, neither were thankful. But they became vain in their imaginations, and their foolish heart was darkened.) And concerning vision the bible says that true vision(s) come from God (Jer 23:16 So says Jehovah of Hosts, Do not listen to the words of the (false) prophets who prophesy to you. They make you vain; they speak a vision from their own heart, not out of the mouth of Jehovah.) Without God given vision people perish, they have no direction and are given to chaos and disorder (Pro 29:18 Where there is no prophetic vision the people cast off restraint, but blessed is he who keeps the law.) True prophetic vision comes from God's word and true visionaries are those who are born of the water and the Spirit (Joh 3:5 Jesus answered, "Truly, truly, I say to you, unless one is born of water and the Spirit, he cannot enter the kingdom of God.) and have the seed of God's word (which is Christ) dwelling richly in their heart. (Col 3:16 Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly, teaching and admonishing one another in all wisdom, singing psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, with thankfulness in your hearts to God.) We can do nothing apart from Him. (Joh 15:5 I am the vine; you are the branches. Whoever abides in me and I in him, he it is that bears much fruit, for apart from me you can do nothing Act 17:28 for "'In him we live and move and have our being';)

Step 4 An understanding of the value of investing in yourself to be a producer rather than just a consumer.

Statement 1: You are the most valuable asset you have - more than your home, car, portfolio, retirement pension, health insurance, 401K, boat, timeshare, condo, motorcycle, clothes, purses, accessories, toys, etc.

Rebutal: Our greatest and most valuable asset is Jesus Christ and Him crucified, ( 1Co 1:23 but we preach Christ crucified... Rom 3:25 whom God has set forth to be a propitiation through faith in His blood, to declare His righteousness through the passing by of the sins that had taken place before, in the forbearance of God; Col 1:20 And through Him having made peace through the blood of His cross, it pleased the Father to reconcile all things to Himself through Him, whether the things on earth or the things in Heaven. ), Resurrected (1Co 15:20 But now Christ has risen from the dead, and has become the firstfruit of those who slept. Mar 16:6 And he said to them, Do not be frightened. You seek Jesus of Nazareth, who was crucified. He is risen, He is not here. Behold the place where they laid Him. ) Ascended (Joh 20:17 Jesus said to her, Do not touch Me, for I have not yet ascended to My Father. But go to My brothers and say to them, I ascend to My Father and Your Father, and to My God and your God. Act 1:9 And saying these things, as they watched, He was taken up. And a cloud received Him out of their sight. Act 1:10 And while they were looking intently into the heaven, He having gone, even behold, two men in white clothing stood beside them, Act 1:11 who also said, Men of Galilee, why do you stand gazing up into the heaven? This same Jesus who is taken up from you into Heaven, will come in the way you have seen Him going into Heaven) glorified (Act 2:33 Being therefore exalted at the right hand of God, and having received from the Father the promise of the Holy Spirit, he has poured out this that you yourselves are seeing and hearing. Php 2:9 Therefore God has highly exalted him and bestowed on him the name that is above every name, Php 2:10 so that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth, Php 2:11 and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.) and soon returning! (Mat 16:27 For the Son of Man is going to come with his angels in the glory of his Father, and then he will repay each person according to what he has do; Mat 24:27 For as the lightning comes from the east and shines as far as the west, so will be the coming of the Son of Man. Act 1:11 and said, "Men of Galilee, why do you stand looking into heaven? This Jesus, who was taken up from you into heaven, will come in the same way as you saw him go into heaven." 1Co 11:26 For as often as you eat this bread and drink the cup, you proclaim the Lord's death until he comes. Rev 3:11 I am coming soon. Hold fast what you have, so that no one may seize your crown. Rev 22:12 And behold, I am coming quickly, and My reward is with Me, to give to each according as his work is!

Acts 1:11 "Men of Galilee," they said. "why do you stand here looking into the sky? This same Jesus, who has been taken from you into heaven, will come back in the same way you have seen him go into heav

  1. We tend to often overlook Biblicle Statements like this when trying to achieve the American dream!

1Tim. 6:9 -11 But those who desire to be rich fall into temptation, into a snare, into many senseless and harmful desires that plunge people into ruin and destruction. For the love of money is a root of all kinds of evils. It is through this craving that some have wandered away from the faith and pierced themselves with many pangs. But as for you, O man of God, flee these things....

  2. I'm so sick of the prosperity mindset that has invaded the church. If only wealthy Christians are truly walking according to God's Word, than the majority of believers worldwide are wrong. Also, Jesus was poor...so there ya go. Thanks for pointing out how we confuse greed with Godliness. Awesome!
